$45,000-The Armory Show

One of my big outings this semester was to the NYC Armory Show.

I have loads to report and this was one of my OMG moments.

Loved this image, and have learned more about the artist Vanessa

Beecroft and her many projects. This piece reminded me of Eleanor Antin.

Beecroft bases her work around performance.

The 147 inch long image caught my eye, with it's contemporary display

and then the price tag.

Dress Codes at UNE October 1, 2019 - January 6, 2020

Elizabeth DeWolfe adds the Dress Codes exhibition to her syllabus for her Women's Studies course, inviting me to share my artistic practice and present an in-depth presentation about my project Mr.Mrs. She also included readings on dress to expand the conversation. Students and Dr. DeWolfe shown participating in paper doll making. At the opening, visitor view the video featuring a collage of images from behind the scenes highlighting all the people that I have met and photographed for this project. Cyanotypes 2016

I have been working with the cyanotype process more seriously for the past couple of years, adding to my Ms. Behavior series and to an on going series called Dulce Suenos which the piece being made below is part of. The photograph is of me creating a large scale cyanotpye on silk of Hilaconea while visiting friends in San Poncho, Mexico and where these plants were growing in their garden. (photo by Bill Paarlberg who assisted me in this piece) The final piece is for sale and presently exhibited at Camera Commons in Dover, NH. Halaconea, 40x48 silk, stretched.
